PWI [faq's]
1.] How much does PWI 2012 cost? Regular cost: $150/wk. Early Bird (register by May 1!) cost: $125/wk. Please note: these prices include 2 meals a day, 5 days a week, + lodging!!!!
2.] Where will I stay during PWI 2012? All students who need housing stay with host families. Host families are Christian families that either attend our host church or who volunteer with Proskuneo Ministries.
3.] What will I eat during PWI 2012? During PWI 2012, your lunch and dinner is provided on campus Monday-Friday. It is recommended that students bring money to pay for meals on the weekends. Host families usually provide some sort of breakfast food, at their discretion. If you have a concern about food [for dietary reasons or otherwise], please indicate that on your Housing Information Form.
4.] How will I get to PWI 2012 each day if I don’t have a car? Students without their own car are housed with students who do have a car and are willing to share! Many of our students love to carpool!
5.] I’m from out of town; where do I fly in for PWI 2012? Who will get me from the airport? When do I need to fly in and out? All flight arrangements can be made into Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Int’l airport [ATL]. Send your travel information to pwi@proskuneo.info and a member of our PWI staff will coordinate your airport shuttle.
Dates for travel should be scheduled as following:
Arrive: July 8, 15 or 22; (afternoon) Depart: July 14, 21, or 28; (late afternoon or evening)
6.] I have friends interested in attending PWI 2012, how do I give them info? Several ways!

*Email pwi@proskuneo.info with “Promo Pack” in the subject line, and we’ll email you all of the application documents, plus a PWI postcard you can give out with more information about PWI 2012.
*If you want to promote PWI 2012 at your church, let us know and we’ll send you application packets, the PWI 2012 video and PWI 2012 postcards for your church!
7.] I’m an artist and I don’t see my medium listed on the website or application. Can I still apply? PWI 2012 believes in worship through all of the arts. If you don’t see your specific medium covered in the application or other materials, send a note to pwi@proskuneo.info and let us know about it. We’re happy to talk with you about the possibility of setting up training for you at PWI 2012!
8.] Where is PWI 2012 happening? PWI 2012 will be held at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Grayson, GA.
9.] If there is an emergency, how will my family be in touch with the PWI staff? When all of our students apply for PWI, they are required to fill out an Emergency Contact form. In the event of any emergency, your emergency contact will be notified immediately by a member of our staff. Families are provided with contact information for our PWI staff before July 8, as well, in case there is a need to be in touch with one of us.
10.] What if I can’t afford to attend PWI 2012? Are there any scholarships available? Yes, there are scholarships available for PWI 2012. While we are more than willing to discuss your scholarship needs (email: pwi@proskuneo.info), there are several ways you can raise support to attend PWI!
*Ask your home church for support to attend PWI.
*Hire yourself out to do odd jobs!
*Ask your church for other support-raising ideas!
11.] Is it 3 weeks or 4 weeks? There are three weeks of instruction (July 9-28) and one week of practicum (July 29-Aug 4).
12.] Do I have to come for the whole time? We believe you will benefit greatly from being a part of the whole time, but you are also able to register for one week at a time.
13.] What is the practicum? This year, for our practicum, we will be in Clarkston, GA, one of the most diverse zip codes in the USA! Proskuneo has just launched our new Proskuneo School of the Arts in Clarkston. We will be working with refugees from all over the world teaching arts, performing, and serving in that community. 14.] What if English is not my first language? We encourage all students, of all backgrounds and languages, to participate in PWI 2012. Many PWI students do not have English as their first language. If you have a concern about language, email pwi@proskuneo.info and we’ll be happy to talk to you about it!
14.] When and how do I pay for PWI? There is no payment due at the time of application. Full payment is due by June 15th, 2012. You may send a check or money order to:

15.] What other expenses might be involved? In addition to the tuition costs for PWI 2012, students should plan for other minimal expenses during the month, including:
*Gas money for transportation between PWI and host homes
*Food on weekends, miscellaneous snacks

17.] I sent my application; what happens next? Once your PWI 2012 application has been received, it will be reviewed and processed by a member of our PWI staff. You will receive further communication at that point, about acceptance, housing details, travel details and preparation details for PWI 2012.
