Josh Davis [founder]

Josh Davis is the founder and president of Proskuneo Ministries.

His bicultural heart…

Josh was born and raised in Sarasota, FL.  When Josh was 13 years old, his parents sensed God’s call to serve on the mission field in Dominican Republic.

Josh says, “It started off seeming like it was one of the worst things that had ever happened to me. Now, I see clearly that it was one of the best!”

He further explains:

“God has used my cross-cultural experiences, and the fact that I have at least two cultures working inside me, to open me up and give me a heart for all people. I am captivated by the picture Revelation 7 gives us of heaven with all the diversity of peoples united in worshiping God. I want to see that here on earth!”

Passions…

Josh has a real heart to minister to people of every culture.  Being gifted as a worship leader, singer and songwriter, he’s had the opportunity to minister to thousands of people.

In fact, the music of Proskuneo Ministries has reached over 30 countries and has been translated into various languages: Spanish, French, Creole, Korean, Arabic, and Russian…to name a few.

God is also using Josh to bridge people together through his leadership ability and to help people step out of their comfort zones.

“I love it when the Body of Christ functions as it was designed to function…diversity in unity. I love it when people break through barriers of fear that keep them isolated from one another.”

Casting the vision…

As Josh continues to travel across the U.S. he loves seeing people catch a bigger glimpse of who God is through multicultural worship.

“I see a mixing of nations like never before. There are immigrants everywhere. It is not easy to tell by looking at people what language they speak, or what culture they are from.

I see churches that are asking difficult questions about God’s design for them, and His placement of them in rapidly changing neighborhoods.  I see God’s people beginning to capture God’s vision for His church to be united across lines of race and denomination.”
